EARLY ACCESS WAITLIST

Privacy Notice

This notice covers the Gem Scanner landing page and early-access waitlist, not the private scanner application. Last updated: October 7, 2026.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit and the time it was added. The address is trimmed, converted to lowercase, and checked for basic formatting; we do not verify that the inbox exists or belongs to you.

To limit automated signups, the site also keeps an hourly, one-way hash derived from the request’s IP address and a count of attempts. Raw IP addresses are not intentionally written to our waitlist database by the site code. Cloudflare may process request information as part of delivering and protecting the site.

Why we use it

We keep the address to manage the Gem Scanner early-access list and, when ready, to send information about access to Gem Scanner. The site does not currently send email or use an email-delivery provider. We do not publish waitlist addresses on the website or sell the list. The page does not include third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

Where it is stored

Waitlist addresses and signup timestamps are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database accessible through the site operator's authenticated Cloudflare account. They are not made available through a public list or export endpoint. Cloudflare provides the hosting and database infrastructure.

Retention and removal

There is currently no automatic retention or deletion schedule for waitlist email addresses; entries remain until manually removed. Rate-limit records are periodically cleaned up when later submissions arrive, rather than on a fixed timer. The site does not currently offer a self-service removal feature or a public contact channel for removal requests. Please do not join the waitlist if you do not want your address held under these conditions.

Changes

If the way the waitlist works changes — including adding an email sender, a retention schedule, or a contact channel — this notice should be updated before relying on the new practice. This notice does not claim compliance with every applicable privacy law.
